The Grump character design

The Grump, a Yeti type character design for the Santa Express event in Bridlington.

Based on a costume that was being used for the event, the character needed to fit into printed displays that weren't finalised at the time of production, so it wasn't entirely clear where it would need to fit in the artwork. For flexibility a couple of different main poses were created with different arms and facial expressions that could be swapped in as needed to tell the story –

"Climb on board our Santa Express land train and meet our festive driver 'Noel', who will check you are on the 'Nice List', then get you ready for your magical journey to the North Pole."

"But oh no! The Grump has stolen all the presents. Mrs Claus needs everyone's help to track down the Grump and find his missing heart in order to save Christmas. Will you take on the mission and help the Grump rediscover the magic of Christmas?"
