Get in touch

Got a project in mind? I'd love to hear about it – whether it's illustration, graphic design, 3D, motion graphics, or something that doesn't quite fit any of those boxes. Drop me a line at (or fill in the form below) and let's have a chat.

You can also find me on Threads (where I ramble) and Instagram (works-in-progress, sketches, and the occasional questionable decision).

And if you'd like to keep up with new projects and occasional updates without the algorithm getting in the way, sign up to my Pencilbooth newsletter.

Working with me

Every project is different, but they all follow basically the same process.

  • Drop me a message with a brief outline of your project – what you need, when you need it, and any reference material or ideas you already have. The more detail you can provide at this stage, the quicker I can get a feel for what you're looking for and quote accordingly.
  • We'll chat about your project in more detail. That could be by , phone or video call, whatever works for you. If you're not exactly sure what you want yet, that's what this stage is for. Once I understand what you need I'll put together a quote and timeline.
  • When you're happy with the quote and timeline, I'll develop some initial concepts for your feedback and update as needed. There's typically 2–3 rounds of revisions to nail down details and get a rough signed-off.
  • Then I'll produce the final artwork and deliver it in the agreed formats – print-ready files, web optimised images, whatever the project requires.

I normally work on a licensing basis, which sounds a bit scary, but it just means you pay for how you actually plan to use the work, nothing more. It's also worth mentioning that you don't always need to commission something new – if you've spotted something in my portfolio that would work for your project, we could discuss licensing that existing artwork instead, which can be quicker and more cost effective. Find out more on my licensing page.

If you've never commissioned an illustrator before, the AOI's Guide to Commissioning is a really useful resource.
