Over the next few weeks there probably won’t be any, if any, new posts. This is partly due to continuing long hours at work, but mainly because I am now the proud father to my second child. Cue weeks of sleepless nights, lack of energy & all the other joys of parenthood:)

Where possible i’m going to try & keep working on some Flash animations that are in progress, i’m looking at a site redesign & a few more things that need finishing off, & i’ll post them ASAP.

In the next week or so i’m going to sit down & re-jig the header art for the site, I have a few ideas in mind, nothing down on paper yet. I’ve also finally started playing around with Flash, trying to work out which bits do what & why. This is something i’ve been wanting to try & get into for a while now, when I was younger I wanted to be an animator so it’s always appealed, plus there’s a slim chance that Flash skills may come in handy at work in the not too distant future.

No chance of getting much of this done this weekend though. Friday was family day (& very nice it was too – thank you), & today i’ve been either shooting zombies/mutants, watching Columbo or catching up with the last few episodes of Battlestar Galactica. What an ending, I can’t believe it’s over. A very sad day, i’m not sure what i’ll watch on tv now, nothing much can really compare.

A little typography joke to kick off the new website. If you’ve stopped by here before you should notice a lot of changes.

This iteration of the site’s been in development for the last two months or so, and i’ve switched from a standard XHTML/CSS site to a Wordpress platform. “5 Minute Easy Installation”? Surely grounds for some kind of trades description lawsuit. This is my first foray into PHP, Wordpress themes & blogging in general so it’s taken a while to get my head around all the new concepts i’ve been learning whilst attempting to put this together. The site’s now gone live but i’ll probably keep tinkering with bits of the design over the coming weeks to get everything just right.

In the meantime i’m hoping the blog style format will make it easier to update, rather than having to knock up new pages every time I want to post something. Speaking of which, I will also attempt to make more regular updates & get more work done. One of the main side effect of having babies seems to be the syphoning off all the spare time you previously took for granted.

To kick things off over the next few days i’ll post some of my previous work, favourite projects, etc. before getting some new stuff up ASAP. I have also recently been teaching myself a bit of Flash, so there will be some animation on here at some point as well.
